We know that sometimes it is hard to get away for an entire weekend!  If you are just trying to see if you like kayaking, it might be easier to get out on the water closer to home.  So, we wanted to offer our helpful branch in the Houston area.  If you are in Houston, we have several qualified and Fun Canoe and Kayak  instructors that have been working with us for years.  They care about you and your time on the water, and understand your time constraints. Bruce started kayaking about 15 years ago when his Dad bought some land near the Chattooga River. He would hike along the river watching the boaters run the rapids. He was looking for a new hobby and kayaking looked like fun. "Little did I know at the time that it would become much more than just another hobby. Paddling has become a huge part of my life. My only regret was that I didn't start earlier in my life. That was one reason I became an instructor. I wanted to introduce others to this outstanding sport. Paddling whitewater is almost a spiritual experience for me. My goal is to continue enjoying it all my life, and introduce as many others to the sport as possible. If even one of them gets the joy from it that I do I will feel successful as an instructor. Literally and figuratively, paddling can take you places that are inaccessible to everyone else."
