Springs Fest 2009

Club Cook Off!

As an added bit of fun we are going to have a cook off for all of the Texas Canoe and Kayak Clubs to challenge each other!  Challenge the other clubs to see who eats better on the river!  This event was wonderful last year, and the creations were amazing! 

Starting at 4:00 p.m. at the pavilion in Rio Vista Park, we will have everyone register their club and their dish, and get set up. (You will be required to bring the correct bins and burners).  Then you will have until 6:30 show off your talents!  At 6:30 everyone who would like to will be able to share in the spoils and judge what they think is the best dish!!  (Please bring a paper lunch sack labeled with each of your dishes for the voting!-Everyone will be given 5 tickets that they will be able to distribute into the bags corresponding to their favorites!)

This makes for a fun and interesting dinner where there will also be a raffle and a silent auction to help benefit the Red River Racing Team Junior Olympic Programs as well as Michelle’s run for the US National Whitewater Team!
